ECU Remaps - Audi, BMW, BMW Mini and Mercedes models
What is an ECU:
An ECU is the brain of the car and ECU Remapping is the process used to tailor the common functions set out within a vehicle’s that ECU. It is programmed by car manufacturers to control the engine’s functions and ECU’s are programmed with a large level of tolerance.
The car manufacturer take this precaution to cater for the number of markets in which the vehicle maybe driven in and the ECU will be programmed at manufacturing stage to compensate for various different driving styles and be given a “middle of the road” type of performance on both power and fuel efficiency. It also needs to be able to cover levels of neglect to a vehicle engine, in terms of servicing & it’s upkeep if this occurs – in this case the ECU unit will compensate.
What does ECU Remapping do:
ECU Remapping is the modern day way, in which a car is finally tuned for the performance and economy. We have the equipment and expertise in which we can carry out this fine tuning to any model.
