Giving your desirable vehicle that extra bit of time and essential upgrades where necessary, really helps towards sustaining the car’s quality and longevity. Furthermore it preserves its value which is ideal if there ever comes the time when you would like to sell it on or replace it.
So, what can you do to preserve that desirable vehicle quality?
- Vehicle Clean – Following the winter months of endless dirt and salt covering the roads, our cars become very mucky and will harbour dirt in awkward places. If not cleaned properly, these areas will easily begin to perish and so it is essential that the whole vehicle is cleaned thoroughly both externally and internally. Pay extra attention to door rims, under the bumper areas and in the wheel arches where extra dirt can easily congregate.
- Tyre tread & pressures – Check that the tyre pressures meet the manufacturers guidelines (these can be found in your vehicle handbook). Additionally, run your hands around the tyres to assess for any faults in the tyres and look for any shallow depths in the tread. If you come across any discrepancies, then take the vehicle for further checks as the tyres may need replacing.
- Replace the windscreen wipers – Throughout the winter months, windscreen wipers are used ever such a lot. Because of this, when cleaning the screens regularly, their efficiency can start to reduce. You can easily fix this, by simply replacing the wiper blades.
- Check screen wash levels – During this time of year, your screen wash will often need a top up. You can buy screen wash fluid ready mixed or use the stronger option which will need diluting with tap water.
