Servicing your vehicle regularly helps to maintain a good standard and smooth running of the car. It can also identify any potential problems early on, which will reduce the risk of further and more serious damaging issues.
Manufacturers recommend that you should service your car every 12 months or every 12000 miles. Occasionally you may find that the Servicing light will suddenly appear on your dashboard which will indicate that the vehicle needs a service check.
Often customers will book a service with Stourbridge Automotive Ltd at the same time as their annual MOT Test so that both tasks can be carried out together, whilst the vehicle is in our workshop. This means that your Audi, BMW, BMW MINI or Mercedes will undertake a thorough investigation by our trained technicians so that any underlying issues can be addressed and the vehicle can be repaired.
What is the difference between an MOT Test and Vehicle Servicing?
A MOT test provides a full technical inspection of the vehicle and is required by law to be carried out annually (only required after 3 years on new cars) and involves specific vehicle checks both internally and externally.
Vehicle servicing is to investigate signs of wear and tear. It is not compulsory but recommended that regular vehicle servicing will help to keep your car in good working condition by replacing fluids and parts as and where required.
